Ten Reasons Why We Return
Shared by Joanne and Ralph White
10) The delicious meals and trail lunches, and the creativity and care that go into planning and preparing them,
9) The fellowship at meals and on the porch with people and their families form diverse walks of life,
Friendly staff members who always extend a helping hand, a hot cup of coffee… or just one more spinach salad,
7) The woodshop where, with encouragement, we’ve created model boats, canoe paddles, a decorative mirror and frame, tables, book-ends, a loon, and numerous walking sticks… and, yes, we still have them all,
6) Timberlock has been a home away from home for our sons, Chris & Mike, who have been guests, voyageurs, and staff here,
5) The opportunity to hike and climb mountains and high peaks in wilderness areas…and be awed by colorful double rainbows,
4) Swimming, sailing, kayaking, diving off the diving cliffs… all in our own time,
3) A sense of peace, communion with God and nature… and living life in the slow lane,
2) The singing of birds, tall tales by storytellers, Timbertunes, and the ethereal calling of loons, replacing the noise of traffic and the incessant hum of electronic devices,
1) The Catlins: Dick, Barb, Bruce, Holly, Caroline, Gus & Nick… a family who welcomes us on our return to Timberlock… a special place they improve each year… while maintaining its integrity and core values.
Thank you for your vision.
We are so grateful we found you 20 years ago!
Love, Joanne, Ralph, Chris & Mike White
