Packing Lists
Before you come, make sure you check the following packing list to ensure the best stay possible. Click here for a downloadable pdf.
General Items
- check book & next years’s calender for planning
- personal stuff – shaving, toothbrush, etc.
- camera and batteries – chargers can be plugged in at main camp
- fishing equipment – lures and bait available locally, we have kids fishing poles and basic tackle for loan
- reading material and board games for rain days and evenings, we have many books & games in lodge
- flashlights – some like small head lamps or “Booklite” for reading
- large beach towel for each member of family – we provide the smaller bath towels
- portable reading light – propane lights in cabins but some prefer portable battery light
- binoculars and field guides
- sunglasses
- tennis rackets, balls and golf clubs
- tennis sneakers – smooth-sole only on the Hartru surface, any sneaker on the asphalt surface
- sketch pad and paints
- bathing suits
- pair of comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers – lots of hills and gravel trails
- watershoes or sandals for beach and boats
- liquor, beer and snacks – also available at local stores
- musical instruments
- bug repellent and sunblock
- bandaids, aspirin, medicines and vitamins – local stores limited
- baby food, diapers and special toys
- radio, cd player, ipod
- day pack – we have loaners
- life preservers – available for loan but recommend you bring your own for small children and non-swimmerswater bottles – we have a large supply for loan
- S’mores ingredients – to use around the campfire- can buy locally too but some like them the first night
Clothing
Weather can be highly variable with temperatures ranging from 40 to 80 degrees during any week of the summer. Layering clothing is the best approach in colder weather. Dress around camp is casual. On the dining porch please wear covering over bathing suits and feet.

- cap or sun hat.
- exercise clothing
- socks, PJ’s, underwear
- raincoat or poncho
- sweater or fleece
- short & long sleeved shirts
- windbreaker- nice when on the lake
- warm jacket and hat; hopefully you won’t need them but we are in the mountains and it can get cold
- bandana, great for hiking
We sell an assortment of Timberlock short and long sleeved shirts, caps and sweatshirts in most sizes of a good quality that have always been popular with guests.
We have beach toys, porta cribs, high chairs, day packs, water bottles, life jackets, kid fishing pole loaners and umbrellas.

What Not To Bring
Please do not bring blowdryers, televisions, electric appliances that are not battery chargeable, or loud boom boxes. Also, we do not allow “personal watercraft” (Jet Skis) . We do have a couple of places you can charge video cameras, computers, and cell phones (There is no cell phone reception at camp).
